Chicago Children's Museum at Navy Pier

We took Cameron to the Children's museum at Navy Pier in Chicago this weekend! It was a nice day and Cameron had lots of fun, but it was hot and it was extremely crowded because of some kind of "ship show" that was going on at the lake. But as everyone already knows, Cameron likes to go, go, go so he fit right in with all of the activity! He had fun pretending he was a fireman, driving cars, buses and firetrucks, riding trains, playing in the water and running, running and running! Cameron rode Thomas the train with a little girl and he had his head down the whole ride. He seemed to be having fun, but he was busy looking down at something the whole time! When he got off, I said "Cameron, what were you looking at" and he said "hole". I guess there was a hole where you put your feet and I'm sure he was watching the tracks through the hole...what a little boy! He didn't even look at the little girl that was riding with him. Just one of Cameron's many stories from our day! :)

On our way home we also stopped and had ice cream cones. Cameron didn't have a nap all day and went to sleep by 9...WOW! We woke up this morning and had breakfast at Starbucks and went to Target for an early morning shopping trip for diapers and other misc. things and of course Cameron had to have an Icee...we can't even say the word Target without him thinking about an Icee, he's too funny! Now we are getting ready to head back to Indy, hope Cameron will take a nap for me on the way back.

Cameron and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa this weekend. Friday Cameron and I went out to eat and shopping. After Grandma got off of work we went to the park...of course Cameron had a blast!

Little angels

Cameron's little angels were watching over him. He slept great last night! He was in bed by 8:30 and slept til 7:30. I think it's been well over a year since he went to bed at that time, but he had a rough day. He slept through the night, woke up happy and seemed to be back to his normal self. Early in the day, he seemed to be walking a little slower, more cautious, but not dragging his leg. Lonnie had registered to be in a car show in Brownsburg, since Cameron was feeling better and was ready to go somewhere we went there around 11. Cameron and I only stayed about an hour and then we headed home for lunch and a nap. He took a good nap and then we went out for dinner and back home. But Cameron loves to GO! That's all he says when we are home, go, go, go...so I took Cameron and Andy out to Starbucks tonight. They had so much fun. Cameron and I went inside and hung out for a while, there was no one there so he was just being a clown for the girls. When we were done, we took Andy a puppy cup and a cup of water...Andy loved it and Cameron thought it was so cool. He kept saying Andy was drinking a smoothie. Funny!

His Dr. did call this afternoon for an update and I told him he was pretty bad before bed last night, but much better today. He was happy to hear that. He is going to call again tomorrow for another update. He also gave me his home phone number to call if Cameron gets another fever or starts limping again. We were happy to hear from him and felt better that we didn't need to take him in today. Really not sure what was happening, but happy he is doing better.

Here are a few pics from our day...mostly of Cameron wandering around a parking lot. :)

Limping baby...

Cameron hasn't felt good since Wednesday. He's been feverish, irritable and not eating much of anything. Finally, today I took him to the Dr. He wasn't too concerned because I told him he just had a low grade fever and no other major symptoms until I asked him to watch him walk. I noticed while we were in the waiting area that Cameron had a major limp and he was dragging his right leg and foot. It was very obvious...it looked like he was dragging a broken leg! So of course when I asked him to pay attn. he was just dragging it a tad bit, so we went to the hallway and Cameron seemed to be fine. But the Dr. was concerned that he had had a fever and unexplained limping. I guess this could be a sign of something serious. So he is going to call us tomorrow and see how he is doing. Tonight, wasn't too good. It was again very obvious and he couldn't even climb in bed. It literally brought me to tears to see him struggling to just walk. The Dr. said if he still had these symptoms that he wanted x-rays and blood work done tomorrow. His fever seems to be gone, so that's good. I guess we will wait and see how he is in the morning.

Say a prayer for my little monkey! I hope he sleeps through the night and wakes up happy! I'm not sure I will get much sleep tonight.

Our night time routine...

Well, now that Cameron is a little older I would have expected that it would be EASIER and quicker to get him to bed...not this little guy. He has become quite the procrastinator, he practically talks me into just about anything. He likes to put his tent over his bed and play in it for a bit. Once I say that it needs to come down, he wants to read books in the dark with his flashlight on and he also likes his trains and cars to listen to the books. Tonight, I only read to Cameron, Thomas and Bertie, but usually he has quite the line up to read a book. He is such a character! You can't really tell, but all these pics were taken in the dark...Cameron doesn't look too tired does he? And it was after 11 pm!

Peek-a-boo
After I told Cameron to close his eyes and go night, night...stinker!

Reading his favorite "Rainbow Fish" book

New Huggies "little mover" model!

My mom bought Cameron some Huggies "little mover diapers" (the ones that look like a pair of jeans). He knows they are different and says "ooooh mom". So cute!

Weekend w/ Grandma & Grandpa

I went away for the weekend with my girlfriends and Cameron stayed with Grandma and Grandpa. He had a blast and so did I...it was good for both of us. He thought it was so cool to have a car seat in Grandma's car. He got to go shopping, to the park, out to eat, out for ice cream (more than one time), etc., etc. Now we are back at home and in our normal routine again. I worked today and came home and Cameron was ready to go. We were on the way to the Library downtown and I was getting ready to turn right on Meridian and he told me to turn left. Little stinker knows where the museum is. So I asked him if he wanted to go to the library and he said "num" (no for Cameron) and then I asked if he wanted to go to the museum today and he said "yeah, yeah" (yes for Cameron). Too funny...so we went to the museum.

Ready, set....GO!

Cameron had fun this afternoon playing outside with Leda and Reid. They raced up and down the sidewalk and Cameron clapped his little hands each time they made it back. He had a blast and loves playing with the big kids!

And they're off...
Yay!

Sleepless in Indianapolis...

My little peanut has been waking up a few times a week for the past couple of weeks...NOT FUN! Especially for a mommy that has to wake up at 4 a.m. So last night, Cameron woke up at 2:30 and was just so restless. He kept telling me he was hot (but it wasn't hot) and there was a fan blowing on him. But I finally gave in and took his PJ's off. He was all over the place. Flopping around like a fish out of water all over his room. Literally all over his room. He finally fell asleep again at 4:30 and I had to carry him back to his bed. And then he was up for good at 7:30! I'm not sure how he keeps going. He went to sleep last night at 11:30, he was up from 2:30 - 4:30 and then up for 7:30. Shouldn't he be exhausted???
