Memorial Day!

We went to my friend Jen's house in Monticello for Memorial Day. She had our "high school" group of friends over...along with all of our hubbies and kiddos. It's crazy how our families have grown! Cameron had a blast...every single kid was a BOY! He had so much fun. They had 3 power wheels cars and Cameron officially was driving! :) It was funny because earlier that morning he just discovered the pedal on his Lightning McQueen car, but his is still in the living room, so he didn't go far. But I guess we need to move it on outside now. There is a video of his "first drive". So cute.

Visit with Grandma & Grandpa

We stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house on Thursday and Friday night. Cameron had lots of fun playing there (inside and out)! We weren't there long, we got in late Thursday night, went to the museum Friday morning and left Saturday morning, but Cameron was spoiled while he was there. My mom also came back with us Saturday and watched Cameron on Sunday while Lonnie and I went to the race on that HOT day...we all had a good time! :)

Visit to Shedd Aquarium in Chicago

Friday we took Cameron to Shedds Aquarium in Chicago. It was a beautiful day and we all had so much fun. We enjoyed seeing all the fish, turtles, whales, etc.

Cameron's NEW bed!

A big day for Cameron! He has a new bed and he took his nap in it yesterday for the first time! We still have his crib in his room, I thought it would be better to have a gradual transition. But he did really good! He wanted to go in his crib at night. So maybe we will just do naps right now in his Thomas bed. It is so cute! I think he thought it was just one big toy box until we dropped the mattress in. :)

We switched bedroom themes because the Lightning McQueen bed arrived damaged (from UPS). I had to send it back, they had to file a claim with Toys R Us, etc., etc., etc. So in the mean time I was posting some things on Craigslist and found the Thomas bed for a reasonable price. We went to take a look at it on Saturday and it was in EXCELLENT shape. No scratches or anything. So we bought Thomas (another of Cameron's favorites)!

A day at the track with Cameron

We took Cameron to the track today for qualification day. He had so much fun! It was a beautiful day today and not too busy. He has loved cars for a while now, but is now obsessed to the point where he checks them out in drive ways, parking lots and on the interestate. It is hilarious! We now have to take a different route to our house when we come in the neighborhood because he likes this little green house on the street behind us. He sees it when we go for walks. If we don't go by the car on our way home he has a fit...he just likes to drive by it. Good thing the guy is home a lot! :)

Cameron went to the park today with his friend, Nolan. They had so much fun! They were so busy running, swinging, going up and down the ramps and stairs, running, eating, pushing mowers/cars, dancing and more running! They were very entertaining! :)

Cameron has been doing SOOO good with his breathing treatments lately. His new favorite thing to do is puzzles. So now every night he will put his mask on and go sit on Daddy's lap...we don't even have to hold the mask anymore! He sit's on Daddy's lap and Mommy hands him pieces. He's come such a long way! He used to sit on Daddy's lap and Mommy would read books, but whatever works, I'm sure this is another phase, maybe I should start thinking of the next fun thing to do while doing our nightly breathing!

He still enjoys Daddy's new lawn mower too. So many photo opportunities with this adventurous little guy! :)

Visiting with Grandma & Grandpa

Cameron had lots of fun this weekend playing with Grandma and Grandpa. He has become very demanding...telling you what to do, where to sit, etc. So he thought it was pretty fun telling them exactly what he wanted them to do. He's really had a lot of fun playing in his sand and water (and mulch, rock, grass, etc.) table this past week. He had it last year, but didn't enjoy it as much as this year.

Name those legs

I ordered Cameron a couple of new pairs of Keen shoes (my favorites). I got a pair of boots for half price so I ordered a size bigger and thought he should be able to wear them in the fall. Well, I tried them on Cameron and he didn't want to take them off today. He liked his boots...so he wore them today with his T-shirt and shorts. I thought he looked cute, but hopefully he will go back to his sandals tomorrow. :)
