Happy Birthday!

Cameron's 5th birthday!!!

My little boy is 5 years old now. Boo! He is getting so big. Cameron had his birthday party with his friends at Recreation Unlimited. He wanted a "snake" cake. Ewww! But it turned out cute. The party was a ton of fun. All of his preschool pals are so sweet. I'm going to miss their little group next year. Luckily we had Cameron's birthday party a few days before his actual birthday because he was so sick on his birthday. He slept through most of the day. He had a fever and his skin was so bad. I think at that point he was sick because his skin was infected. A few days after his birthday though we started seeing a new dermatologist and he has been much better.

Misc. Christmas season 2012

This year we wanted to take Cameron to the Yuletide Celebration at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. We went with Cameron's best buddy Ethan and our friends Travis and Lisa. The boys had such a great time, we did too. It was such a special day. We also went to dinner downtown afterwards. I think we started a new tradition.

We also enjoyed dinner and gifts with our old neighbors and friends, Steff, Chris & Ella. Cameron loves little Ella!

And lastly are some pics of Cameron & Lonnie attempting a gingerbread house. Everything looks good in the pics, but the gingerbread house would not stay together. So I think we will try a different kind next year. :)

Jolly Days at the Children's Museum

Christmas at the Children's Museum is always a fun time. I think we only made it one time this season, but we were there all day with Ethan and Lily! Cameron and Ethan even did karaoke! They sang jingle bells and it was adorable! The kids also got to enjoy designing their own car in the hot wheels exhibit!

Christmas 2012

This post is a little late! This past Christmas was so much fun for Cameron. The anticipation was very exciting. He really enjoyed his advent calendar and our Elf on the Shelf. He was too cute. He had a very specific list for Santa too. We visited Santa at Earth Explorers in Zionsville and Cameron took a very cute handwritten list that he insisted that Santa keep. Some of the things on his list were a school bus, ambulance, blue 4 door honda civic, a white GMC, just like Ethan's and a Jeep. Santa said he was going to have to get another job! :)

It was very hard for Cameron to go to sleep on Christmas Eve. I don't think he ever thought Christmas morning would be here. So opening his presents was super exciting! We enjoyed every second! It was definitely a Christmas to remember.

Asleep at last....zzzzzzzzzzzz

Preschool Christmas Program 2012

Cameron's preschool class this year did a little play of the Nativity for their Christmas program. It also included singing songs in between. Cameron was a shepherd and his line was, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see the baby". He memorized it immediately. He also pretty much knew everyone else's line too. All the kids seemed to, it was funny! The play was really cute and all the kids did a great job! This was our last preschool Christmas program! :(

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus...

It's so hard to believe Christmas is just days away! Cameron had a visit with Santa at the toy store in Zionsville the day after Thanksgiving. It was a fun day! He made a very specific list (that he wrote himselft) that included a school bus, ambulance, a 4-door blue Honda Civic, white GMC Denali (just like Ethan's) and a Jeep. Santa was quick to say he may need to find a new job to fulfill his requests! I know how he feels! He was not afraid of Santa and they had a nice visit. A little later in the evening Santa came to downtown Zionsville for the lighting of the Christmas tree! He sang songs with the kids and lit the tree. It was pretty fun, but it was probably the coldest night of the year so we didn't stick around for long. But was definitely a memorable day. Grandma and Grandpa were with us too. Christmas sure is going to be fun this year!
