Grandparents Day at School!

It was Grandparents day at school today. Cameron could not have been anymore excited! He talked about it non-stop for at least 3 days. He said it was "grandma's day". So my Mom and Kevin drove down just to spend the day with Cameron. It was my understanding that each child got to bring 1 grandparent or a "special friend" if a grandparent wasn't available. So of course Cameron chose my Mom. He wanted his grandpa to come too, but was ok leaving him at home. So I dropped them off at the front door and they were on their way. I guess Cameron made quite the scene when one of his classmates brought 2 guests! He said "she brought both of them"! So of course Cameron had to explain that his Grandpa was at his house and he wanted to bring him too! My mom called Kevin and luckily Lonnie was still around and dropped Kevin off before his appt. I went to get some stuff done at the other house after I dropped them off. I was informed of everything when I went to pick them up after school and Grandpa was there too! Cameron was glowing all day long!

After school, Cameron wanted to take them to dinner. His choice....Chipotle! So we had dinner and came home and played for a bit and Grandma & Grandpa headed back north. Cameron is a very lucky boy!

Neighborhood fishing

Lonnie loves to fish, although he only goes a few times a year. Well, there are a couple of small ponds in the neighborhood. These ponds are perfect for Cameron. They are close, fish are small and the water doesn't seem to be too deep. The first time Lonnie went with our friend Chris. He was over for dinner with Steff & Ella. Steff & I took Cameron and Ella over to check it out too. Cameron thought it was so much fun throwing the BIGGEST rocks in the water. Sounds fun, but I guess the fish don't like it. :) Lonnie found another spot that doesn't have rocks. He took Cameron and this time Cameron had his own pole. He thought he was the coolest. He really enjoyed it. He caught some small fish. He reeled them in, touched them and was as patient as he could be. I wish I could take him but I can't touch the fish!
