SUPERBOWL XLVI - Indianapolis!

The Superbowl is a week away, if you were in Indy, you would think it was actually this weekend with all of the stuff going on. I thought that we needed to make a trip downtown to see the transformation. There are several street closures, huge banners, a zip line, superbowl village, etc. There are events going on right in the middle of streets that we would normally drive thru. Today, was a beautiful day (for January). It was a little cold, but the sun was shining. We walked thru the village, around the circle where they put the HUGE superbowl roman numerals and just peeked at everything going on. I'm glad we did!

Also, this superbowl is special because Cameron was born the night before the superbowl almost 4 years ago. And the 2 teams that played in that superbowl...the Giants & the Patriots! Now they are playing again, 4 years and 3 days later here in Indy.

GO GIANTS!
Keeping warm in the convention center...such a ham!

Fun!

Kane's Birthday Party!

Cameron went to a birthday party for his friend Kane, from school, at Recreation Unlimited. We had never been there and it was so much fun! They sell all of the Rainbow playground equipment and the inside area is just a ton of different playgrounds, trampolines, play houses, basketball, etc. Lot of fun for 3-4 year olds!

First snow!

It finally snowed! We have had such nice weather. It started snowing on Thursday before Cameron had to go to school, so him and Andy took a little stroll through it before we had to leave. I wish we could have played in it more, but it was sooooo cold and windy on Friday! It was nicer on Saturday, but there really wasn't enough to build a snowman. Maybe soon! Cameron says he wants to make a snowman, but he also hates to be cold and hates to wear his winter coat, so we will see how long he lasts (if we ever get enough snow)! Maybe we can make some indoor snowmen. :)

My BIG kid!

Cameron was off from school for 3 weeks for Christmas break and was so excited to go back. I took this picture of him before his first day back because he was so excited. But I swear, he aged a lot over break. I looked at this picture and thought he looked like such a big kid (and a little stinker too)! :(

Christmas 2011 (in our new home)

We finally got moved in our new house about 3 days before Christmas. We were lucky the weather was still nice and it all went well, except our movers didn't show up so we had to wait a few extra days for our big furniture, but that's another entry! Cameron LOVED Christmas this year! But he wanted more, more, more! He left Santa cookies and milk and the reindeer carrots again, but he was stingy with the cookies, only leaving 2. We finally got him to bed around midnight and he was up by 6. UGH! This kid still doesn't like to sleep much. He just likes to stay up way too late & get up early. So Santa left a HUGE gift and several smaller ones. To my surprise, Cameron opened 2 or 3 smaller gifts before he even wondered what was in the big one. Maybe he was still sleeping. His big gift was a John Deere tractor! He had been asking for one for a few months. I told him Santa could bring him one, but he would have to take his Lightning McQueen powerwheel and that seemed to be ok. He also got several other cars, street signs, movies, and a nativity. Cameron was one lucky little boy this Christmas!
Cookies & carrots!

Waiting for Santa!

He found our new house!

I know it's early, but has he been here yet?

Checking out his new street signs (his favorite)!

A nativity!

And of course...a John Deere tractor!

Taking it for a test drive on xmas morning.
