Indy 500 Festival Parade

We took Cameron to the 500 parade today. We didn't have any tickets, because it was sold out, but we took our chances. We had never been before and thought we would be able to buy some tickets on the street, but we didn't find any. We found out that you could stay without tickets, but seating was limited and hard to find (without tickets). We stayed for a bit, but Cameron was ready to head home before it was over. It was a good experience...a very good parade! We will probably go again next year, but we will get tickets ahead of time!

Afternoon at the race track!

We took Cameron to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon. It was bump day. Of course as soon as we were about to leave, it got really cloudy and started pouring down rain! We thought we would still try and go, hoping it would let up. It eventually did. When we got there we went to the gift shop and bought Cameron 2 pace cars. He thought they were the coolest! Then we went to the track and they were drying it. He liked just watching the red trucks drive by...he would cheer them on. Eventually the race cars came out, just one at a time. He didn't like them. He thought they were too loud. So Cameron and I walked around for a bit while Lonnie watched a few cars. We were only there for about 2 hours, but just enough time for a 3 year old little boy to take everything in. He sees the track on TV now and he says that he's been there. It's cute! I didn't take my camera because of the rain, but I took a few pics with my phone of him cheering for the trucks and playing with his new pace cars. Maybe next year he will be old enough to go to the race!

Funny pics...then and now

I was going through some things in Cameron's room today and ran across the outfit that we brought him home from the hospital in. The pants are size "newborn". I held them up and thought I bet he could still fit into these...obviously they would just be a little short. Sure enough, they went right on! I can't believe it! He is such a lil peanut!

Cameron's last day of music class

Cameron has completed another semester of Kindermusic! He really enjoyed this semester. Not that he didn't enjoy the others, but since he is older now, he responds and participates differently. Before class he enjoyed playing with the kids in the hallway. The boys would each bring a car in and they would compare cars and trade and race down the hallway. It is so cute to watch him interact with them. Next semester he is moving up to the next class (age 3.5-5 yrs). In the next level, the mom's leave the room for 30 min. and join the group for the last 15...so this should be interesting. I think this will be good for him. I think he will do well because he is very comfortable with Miss Christina. But it was also a little sad today knowing it was the last time I would be sitting in class with him. We've been going since August 2008! After class today, we took Cameron, Nolan & Devon to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. What an adventure! The boys had a great time, eating, playing and being silly!

Playing with Barkley

Here are a few cute pictures of Cameron playing with Barkley. I forgot they were in my camera from a couple of weeks ago and thought they were too cute! Sometimes Cameron doesn't have anyone to play with outside and he has just as much fun playing with B! And Barkley goes right along with it, although most of the time he is a little unsure of Cameron and what his next move will be. :)

P.S. Barkley is our neighbor!

Lemonade Day!

Today was Lemonade Day! We set up Cameron's stand at Lions Park in Zionsville, it is his favorite park! It started out very rainy and dreary, but by 1pm it was beautiful outside. There was a lot going on at the park with lots of kids! Cameron spent most of the day roaming the park, he would visit his stand between activities. He was very sweet with anyone that stopped by. He wanted to give everything away. We had lemonade and candy and he kept handing everyone candy. He was cute, I think we would have sold out if he was at the stand the whole time! :) It was a very busy day, but well worth it and a learning experience.

My little peanut after a hard day at work...he was so tired!

All ready to go!
Lemonade anyone?
