Has anyone ever heard of National Lemonade Day? Well, national lemonade day is coming up on Sunday, May 1. It teaches kids about money. They set up their lemonade stand and work. Ideally, the kids should donate a portion of their profits and keep some for their hard work. But it is up to each child and their parents what they do with their profits. I'm buying Cameron an adorable lemonade stand for him to start his little business. At least if we start early, we will get to use our stand for a few years.
A friend that I worked with at Starbucks now runs the boys and girls club in Whitestown/Zionsville. She is having an indoor garage sale on April 30 where people rent a booth for $20 to sell their stuff. She did this last year at the end of the summer and there was a good amount of traffic. I think Cameron will set up his stand at the sale. I haven't decided yet where we will set up our stand on Sunday, May 1, but I was thinking of maybe at our church, Target or a park. We will see. But we will definitely be doing it all weekend.
Cameron knows all about it and I gave him a choice as to what to do with his money. He decided to give his money to helping sick kids. We are going to buy pillow pets for kids at Riley. Recently there was a story on the news that there is a little boy that is a patient there and one of his wishes was that every patient should have a pillow pet.
This is new to us, so this year will be a practice run, but we would love our stand to be a success! I think it could be a lot of fun! Even though Cameron is only 3, he understands. I told him it's like me making coffee at work but he's going to make lemonade and people will give him money. If you ask him what he is going to do with his money, he says that he is going to help the sick kids.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum
We took Cameron to the IMS museum today. Lonnie saw on the new this morning that they were having an event there today. There were several previous I-500 winning drivers there. The lines were crazy long, but we were able to get a pic with one driver. We were only there for about 30 minutes because Cameron wanted to touch everything and get in every car, especially after being in a racecar (or go kart) yesterday. But it was still fun!
There was at least one car that he can get in, it was a race car for pictures. He had a blast pretending to be a racecar driver.

A little boy's dream
Today we took Cameron to his cousin Marky's birthday party at Rascals Fun Zone in Franklin. I thought Cameron was going to be too young for everything...I was a wrong Mommy. I forget that I have a big boy now. He was able to ride in the go karts, play ski ball and other misc. games. He was too cute! He was so excited about the cars and felt like such a big kid because he got to ride too! I was sad that I didn't bring my camera! I always have it. My phone doesn't take the best pics, but at least I got one.
Cameron is trying to go to sleep right now, but is stressing out about church tomorrow. He knows tomorrow is Sunday and that we go to church. He told me that Jesus will be with him in the "kids room". I thought that was so cute. He said "Mommy come pick you up" and I said of course I'm going to come and pick you up and he said "Jesus be with you in the kids room". He doesn't understand that Jesus is always with him, he kept telling me that Jesus is at church and I told him that Jesus is always with him. So then I asked him, "is Jesus with you right now"? He said, "not yet, Mommy". I can't believe some of the things he talks about and worries about, seems like too much for a 3 year old!

Looking back...
Here are some pics from today and a couple from June 2009. Cameron still loves to swing and still loves his car!
My lil' leprechaun!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! We enjoyed our nice, warm day today in Indy. We had plans to meet Nolan at the park this morning, but it was a little chilly out in the morning so Nolan came over to play. After he left, Cameron and I took a walk and played out back. He was so excited to be outside again! He LOVES it! He also played outside for a bit last night, the first thing he asked for was his little red car. This will be the third year that he has pushed that little thing around the neighborhood. It definitely has lots of miles on it!

Do the Potty Dance!
Cameron went to his first concert today! Ralph's World sings the Huggies song "Do the Potty Dance" and they performed LIVE at The Children's Museum today! It was such a good little concert for the kids! It was lots of fun! Cameron got a boa, some maracas, pull-ups, pictures...lots of fun stuff! We were right up front for most of the concert. Cameron danced with the dancers for a bit and we even got to meet Ralph afterwards. Cameron and Dad got their picture taken with him and Ralph even gave Cameron his autograph on a picture one of the photographers took while we were there! We also ran into Ralph after we ate lunch and he stopped and talked to us for a few minutes...how cool! We had a fun day at the museum!
Let's hope that this will help with our real live potty training! It was perfect timing!
