Happy Birthday Grandma!

Grandma came to visit Cameron on her birthday. We made her a special cupcake and Cameron picked out some special flowers for her at Costco.

Note: Costco has all kinds of pretty flowers, Cameron definitely picked the most colorful ones. I KNEW which ones he was going to choose. :)

What a difference a week makes!

Last weekend, Cameron & I took a road trip to visit Grandma & Grandpa. Finally, it was a nice weekend and I wasn't afraid we would get stuck in some type of snow storm on the way there or back. Cameron had so much fun. Lots of playing, he had fun at the local Starbucks and having a special donut for breakfast. It's the little things that make him happy! :) He is always sad when we have to head back home. He is always so crabby on the way back, it doesn't help that he doesn't sleep much while we are there. No naps, tossing and turning all night and up early! But it's all worth it.

We had a fun week this week, doing our normal stuff. We went to kids night at Chick-Fil-A, music class, to the museum with Wyatt & Hadley and to Nolan's house to play. On the way home from Nolan's house on Friday, Cameron looked like he had been drugged! All of a sudden he had droopy eyes, he could barely keep them open, he became warm and just looked miserable! He only slept for about 45 min. and woke up SO cranky! He had a fever of 101. We took it easy the rest of the day and then he started saying his back hurt. So he has a fever, he's tired and his back hurt...then he throws up in bed! I slept with him Friday night because I was worried about him. He slept pretty good, woke up a couple of times, but not for long. Saturday morning he woke up with a fever still and he wouldn't walk down the stairs. I was already down and he was standing at the top of the stairs looking at me, he said his legs hurt. So I carried him. Then we made it downstairs and I was getting him some OJ and he laid down on his back on the wood floor in the middle of the hallway. He must have been so achy! After his nap Saturday, his fever seemed to be gone, but he all of a sudden started sneezing, coughing, his eyes were watering, etc. I think it's the flu! Lonnie thinks it's a cold...I don't think so. He is the same today, sneezing, coughing, etc. I will call the Dr. tomorrow. I have to cancel his shot that he is supposed to get, I know they have to be healthy to get shots. They typically don't do anything for the flu, but since he has asthma, he is considered "high risk" so they might want to see him.

Hope he feels better tomorrow...or at least real soon! Below are some pics from last weekend when he was feeling 100%!

A fun day with Nolan

Cameron had a very fun day on Friday. We met Mary and Nolan at the museum in the afternoon. The boys had fun playing with dinosaurs, trains and also playing at the new Dora & Diego exhibit. Then we had lunch and played some more with trains in the museum store. We went home to take a quick nap and then met Nolan and his Mommy & Daddy at Gymboree for a special Valentine's Day party. The boys had a great time playing again and then we went out for pizza. The boys had a very special day playing together. But I was wiped out by the time we got home at 9:30! We all had a good night of sleep and now we are at Grandma & Grandpa's house for the weekend.

Dr. Megremis

Cameron had his 3 year appt. today with Dr. Megremis. We took some silly pictures. We are lucky to have such a nice Dr. that Cameron loves to see! Even Dr. Megremis said that he's come a long way. He does everything he is supposed to now...follows the light, opens his mouth, etc., etc. It used to be such a struggle. But now he feels safe there and knows that Dr. Megremis is a good guy. Cameron got a good report today...he is doing good with his numbers, colors, talking, walking, running and his very creative imagination. :)

Dr. Megremis wanted Cameron to get a shot today, but I told him that I already had told him that he wasn't getting any, so now we have to go back in 2 weeks just to see a nurse for a quick shot. They originally told me he was done until right before kindergarten, but it has something to do with the shots he got when he was born and how things have changed now???

What a party!

We all had so much fun with Cameron at his 3rd birthday party! Gymboree did a great job again this year. The activities that they do with the kids are so cute and they all love them! Cameron was overwhelmed with everything that was going on, but he had a great time!

3rd Birthday pics!

Just a few more pictures from Cameron's 3rd birthday. There were so many cute ones, I only picked some of my favorites...I know, I have a lot of favorites! :-)
We had a very special day, even though we had to stay inside because of the ice storm. Leda came over and played with Cameron, he opened bday presents, we went out to dinner to his favorite mexican restaurant with our neighbors Steff & Chris and finally we enjoyed his GIANT bday cupcake. He was so excited!
More pics to come after his party tomorrow! I'd also like to mention this is the 3rd year in a row that we did a Disney "cars" theme! Can you believe it! Most of my supplies are left over from last year, but that's what he picked...AGAIN! Makes me wonder what he will be into next year...could it be cars again?
Is this really for me?
