We arrived early to church today, so we thought we would go by the daycare. We asked if Cameron could go to a new room since he will be 3 next week. He was moved out of the nursery and in to "Turtles". We started to tell the lady that he wouldn't want to go without us, but it all happened very quickly. She grabbed his hand and he walked thru the mini door under the countertop as she reached for his hand. We walked the other way...of course I had to peek in. He went straight to a table, his bottom lip quivering, but trying not to cry. I was sad for him! But we didn't get called in to pick him up early! When we did pick him up, one of the teachers said that he cried for a bit, but she put "Thomas" in his shirt pocket and that made him feel better. He was so proud of himself!
He has told us several times today that a boy pulled his hair in school. Not sure what happened there, but I do think a boy did pull his hair because he has never talked about his hair being pulled. He probably did something to provoke the boy. When we were praying before dinner tonight Cameron said, "Thank you for school"...it was so cute.
I had to write this story...I also use this blog to help me remember things! Hopefully, today was a new beginning with our church daycare and upcoming preschool days!

Cameron's Bday wish list
For those of you readers that have asked what Cameron would like for his birthday...here are some ideas. But I'm sure he would be happy with anything! I think we are just going to get him a 10-pack of chapstick! Just kidding...but Cameron is obsessed with chapstick right now!
- Duplo Legos (animal set or Toy Story set)
- Firetrucks (he has recently developed an interest for firetrucks & he doesn't have any)
- Chuggington trains, etc. (Stores just started selling Chuggington, I'm not familiar with what they have). We just have Thomas. But Cameron loves Chuggington!
- Art supplies (crayons, coloring books, paper, etc.)
- Lightning McQueen twin sheet set or comforter (we only have 1 character sheet right now and Cameron likes to change them. Right now we are just changing the pillow cases)
- Toys R Us gift card (for a "big boy" bike)!

New hire at Starbucks!
Cameron knows that I work at Starbucks and that I have a LOVE for coffee. He is always saying "Mommy going to get some coffee" or "Mommy NEEDS coffee". Today I put my apron on him and he thought it was the funniest thing ever! I also am in trouble because Cameron likes coffee! Not that I let him drink it, but have caught him a few times taking a drink of my Iced Latte or Iced Americano and he likes it! I get extra shots too...Lonnie can't even take a drink of my coffee without making faces! Not Cameron...he wants more!

Cameron's Big Boy Bed (#2)!
Since Cameron quit sleeping in his Thomas the train bed a couple of months ago I decided to sell it on Craigslist. Once it sold, I picked out this cute furniture at Costco. It is perfect for Cameron...a twin bed with a trundle. He loves it (so far)! He has been sleeping on the trundle. He was so excited about it! Right now it is complete with a Thomas the train comforter on the top and Toy Story sheets on the bottom and we also have a Toy Story comforter. He loves having different character sheets, pillowcases and blankets. He WILL have this furniture for awhile. There isn't any room in his room to sleep on the floor anymore, so I hope he will continue to like his new bed!

Sorry punky!
Tonight I took Cameron to Chick Fil A and then we went to Target for the sheets we were going to get last night and some groceries. Well, after little sleep last night and going all day, by 8, I was feeling exhausted. So we were finally all done grocery shopping etc. As soon as I drive off from Target, Cameron said he wants some of his Bunny Grahams that I just bought. I guess I was a little dramatic, I said, "Cameron can't you wait, do you really need a snack, we just ate dinner"...all in my tired mommy voice. Of course, Cameron is very persistent. So we were going back and forth. Finally, he senses my frustration and says, "Sorry punky" in a sad little voice. I call Cameron punky. Of course then, my heart melted and I felt horrible. So I pull over, get out of the car, get his snack and we were on our way. He was so sweet to say sorry punky...there was really nothing to be sorry about. He knew that I felt bad and he kept saying "sorry punky, I love you". Little things like that that make me stop and realize how sweet my little boy is! He is a pretty demanding little guy and by the end of the day it's not easy to hide my frustration. But I love him to pieces and wouldn't trade him for the world!!!
I love YOU punky!
I love YOU punky!
Lollipop, Lollipop
Cameron and I were out running some errands yesterday and we were making one last stop. I wasn't even going to stop, but we stopped at Kohl's to quickly look at the sheets because we were putting together his new bed. We were in there for 5 minutes tops and Cameron started sneezing like crazy and he was saying "Mommy, Mommy" in a help me voice. I grabbed a tissue so we could blow his nose from the sneezing. When I was kneeling down to help him, he couldn't stop rubbing his nose and I caught a glimpse of something blue in there. I said, "Did you put your lollipop in your nose", his response, "Yes Mommy"! What!
So I was telling him to blow as hard as he could because I couldn't get my finger in there. My heart starting racing! What would happen if it went further up? I called Lonnie, he wasn't much help. I called the on-call Dr. I was so happy that Dr. Megremis was on-call. That never happens! He told me not to worry, he'd be ok, but that we should go to urgent care. It was about 7:40. They closed at 8. He made a call to let them know we were on our way and to let us in because we would be a little late. Since we were close by the house, we stopped to pick up Lonnie. When we got there the Dr. put a light up to his nose and said, yep, there is definitely something in there. He said we had 2 options. We could go to the ER and they could put him to sleep to remove it or we could do something at the office that might seem a little crazy. Of course we wanted to avoid a visit to the ER. So, I held Cameron and pushed down on his "good" nostril, Lonnie blew forcefully in his mouth. And out came the lollipop STEM! I thought he had stuck a piece of lollipop up there, but it was actually a part of the stem!
What a relief that it was a quick fix. I couldn't believe that he actually stuck something in his nose! Never a dull moment!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It is hard to believe that 2010 has come to an end! The time just seems to fly by now. 2010 brought lots of good memories. We hope to be blessed with another good year in 2011!
Here are a few pics from our New Year's Eve dinner. We took Cameron and Grandma to Bonefish Grill. Cameron looked so cute in his little vest, he looked so grown up. He was so good at dinner. He played with his cars, colored and watched Snow Buddies. He ate very good and then enjoyed a big scoop of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream. He is growing up so fast, everyday is such an adventure with him!
